Books Are Turn-Ons

While Mom and I were on our way to Divisoria earlier, something funny happened. There was this guy in front of me who rode the vehicle on his earphones. After a few minutes, I found him unplugging his earphones, put it in his bag, and get his book afterwards. What caught my attention here is not just him pulling the book from his bag but the mere fact that THE BOOK WAS PLACED ON A ZIP LOCK BAG!! He really find it hard to get the book because it's in hard bound cover. Wth. Isn't it cute? =^_^= Many friends of mine knew how I really love books, so much love that I feel unsafe if it's not covered with paper/plastic cover. But this guy's apparently interesting. I felt how he took care of his book, yeah sounds weird and funny that it was on plastic cover but then, still covered in a zip lock bag. Unusual, and I liked it. I love the feeling when somebody reads because less people are really into reading nowadays. I mean, really reading as a form of a hobby. Going back, h...

How Well my 2014 Went

I can say that my 2014 was the year that I embraced changes about myself (disregard my chubbier cheeks and bigger tummy tho, hahaha!) Anyway, this was the year that I graduated and had my first job. Using “had” because today will be my last day here in PSRC. I am just happy that I am feeling relieved. I had so many realizations during my stay here and it really helped me to gain deeper understanding on things. I always keep in mind that change is inevitable, and that change is good. I am always afraid of it in the first place. What if I lose? What if I fail? But then, I realized that moving forward is almost the same thing as moving ahead. If you really wanted to succeed in life, you should not be afraid to take risk, and accept challenges, and if you wanted a certain thing for yourself, you should work hard for it. My 2014 is all about my career. I had so many questions about my job during my first three months and spent time for overthinking about the path that i chose. Is...

I Am Nobody

Sometimes I feel like I am such a boring person.  I rarely make friends. I am not funny. I am not really talkative. And I am not a good conversationalist. It’s like saying, I am basically a serious person. I am a nerd. I always wanted to talk about books, of poems, basketball and my favorite authors. Those were mostly academic. I rarely join a sociable talk, because I do not say much, I mean, (I later realized that this was me <asked during a job interview>) I really have a long list in mind, because I also considered myself an overthinker. And this was also the reason why boyf and I get misunderstanding often.  It’s because I don’t like his drinking attitude and I do not drink. We are always colliding.  Maybe because this was because of the “New Generation Thing?” I usually think what people think of me, and how do they describe me to people who haven’t met me. Am I something easy to be with? Moreover, I do not care about this anymore. I do not need to prete...

Proper Time Management

I can’t believe I found time to write a post about this one. Like, time meets time. Maybe because I was able to finish all the task assigned to me specifically this week, (HELL IT’S BEEN STRESSFUL) and I got praised by an officemate because of a great work yesterday. *Talk about motivation?* As I was typing, I still have an hour and a half left before dismissal.  But this won’t be a lengthy post.  I am just glad because it was also Friday today – I literally will have a stress-free weekend. One more thing, it’s my 20 years and 11 th month of existence today. Next month na!!! Ok, proceed. I was in my senior year in high school when our English teacher introduced us the idea of “Proper Time Management.” She was one of my favorite mentors I had and I was just proud to say that up until now, I am still able to apply that, well I can say an “asset” that everyone should learn to have a balanced life. But then, how does proper time management be achieved? As for me, I c...

Experience is the Best Teacher

They say not until you were able to experience something is when you’ll finally learn. Yes, not until a few hours ago when I dreamed of something I never thought can make me upset until this moment. I have been a believer of a dream as something relatable to one’s life generally. See my related post . I have dreamed of a thousand dreams, from happy, senseless and worse ones. Few hours ago, I dreamed of being targeted by someone who looks like Pampanga representative and Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao . Imagine a shoot-out fiesta. I am sitting beside eight Jenica’s (me on second last) as he, secretly (but for me obviously) tries to shoot me with a gun with him, on a helicopter. It took him several tries to target me but never did he succeeded. Finally, I came home. But then, he was already there. And I confront him. “Why are you targetting me? What did I do to you?” I told him. He never said a word, instead, just pointed the gun on me. My brother was there. I...

Officially One Month

Time flies really fast. ‘Twas June 4 when I started working here which exactly marks my first month today. I am not feeling well, tho. :( It has been a roller coaster mix of emotions (I mean also literally with transpo thingy) for my first few weeks. It just feels so good that I was able to pursue the field I specialized. Oh, Market Research. Nonetheless, it was indeed a precious experience. I am starting to love, at the same time, hate Qualitative because of personal reasons, I was able to beat deadlines. (I suck making interpretations!!) Anyhow, what I love is that I was able to meet various people, coming of all ages and social classifications through GD’s :) Did I forgot to mention the “food perks”? :p Okkkk I am feeling lazy to end this post with a bang, (shame on you chesty cough & colds).. I still have no idea what might happen in the coming days with me here, I am hoping that I will still be able to learn anew.  Ciao!

Share Your Blessings

I finally got my work pay for the first time in forever. :) That was actually yesterday. I remembered what I am planning to do during my first weeks in the office. I am constantly seeing this old man along the sidewalk of Shaw who holds a paper (I just don’t have the idea what was written on it probably him begging for financial help), in formal striped-polo and slacks, white-haired, probably in his sixties. Yes, he actually don’t look like a normal beggar (what I mean by normal is the description of the majority who is dirty, and informally weared.) Anyhow,  I actually felt the need to give because my heart always faints upon seeing old people seeking for help that way (or maybe because I grew-up with my grandparents) I really don’t have enough penny to give him. Not until yesterday when I got my salary. I promised to myself that NO MATTER how little money I have, I will still give to him. :) They say you should share your blessings on your first pay as blessings will c...
