Manila Ocean Park

Almost 2 weeks ago, Mom and I were able to avail the Mid-Year Mega Bonus of Manila Ocean Park.

It was, however, our first time to visit the ocean-themed park since it opened 2005.  We chose the Deep Sea Rush package which costs 550 pesos inclusive of the attractions such as Oceanarium and Jellies Exhibit -- Sharks and Rays Dry Encounter, Fish Spa for 20 minutes and the amazing 15-minute Sea Lion Show! Isn’t that wonderful?

Tickets

First stop

Just at the entrance, you will see this souvenir shop selling various Ocean Park memorabilias such as stuff toys, shirts, tumblers, and more. And to think that we were as excited for cute stuff, I requested to buy some for myself.

But.. I wanna buy all!

Mom bought pink shirt (Note: Most of the shirt that they sell was of the little size, Philippine size, I guess)

I chose this cutie penguin! <3 :)

JELLIES EXHIBIT

If you are a fanatic of these calm-looking creatures, you will love them here! I never thought jellyfishes come of many types - super unexpected. I loved the viewing atmosphere because there were no light at all. Just the colorful lights inside the aquariums were present in the room. An additional excitement will occur because piano pieces are played! e.g., Beethoven's, Mozart's etc., (tho I am not a fan of piano pieces)

Color of the jellyfish in the image captured depends upon the color of the light present during the capturing time. (That's why)

Sea Lion Show

Since the show is scheduled 11 am and we finished the exhibit 30 minutes before 11, we decided to go ahead the place of the show.

EMPTY SEATS. Got the chance to take a picture since it was already early

That sea lion made me go back to my childhood nostalgia as he made me laugh, throughout the show. I became an instant sea lion fan <3 Amazeballs at its finest!

FISH SPA

I look forward for the fish spa experience since it's my second time to try it out. Compared to those in Star City, where I first experienced it, fishes in the MOP were bigger. That made me feel more relaxed. Oh how I love fish spa.

On the other hand, Mama did not enjoy it. *giggles*

OCEANARIUM

This large aquarium has been shown on TV many times and I am just so happy to see it in person. Finally!

I can stay here for long!

I will definitely go back here, if given the chance.. because I wanna try this..

Of Kariman and Uncle John's Fried Chicken

Mini Stop has been known for their signature kariman – with various of special fillings on it inside. I admit I haven’t tried one but I finally did a while ago. :) I believe Kariman is sort of a Japanese food since the convenience store originated in Japan. Relatively, it was a cross between a meat bun and a fried sandwich, according to Sybdive  It contains fillings (whether sweet or savory) stuffed into a piece of yeast dough, sealed, dipped in egg wash, rolled in   panko , and deep-fried till the outside is golden brown and crunchy to the bite. Going back, upon buying Uncle John’s fried chicken meal for my lunch, (which for me is worth-the-buy because of the generous size of the chicken and comparing to other stores offering  the same type of meal, I believe it can be included on your choice) I decided to have Cookie Karamel Kariman since it was only ten pesos. Surprisingly, it was delicious. It tastes like cookie butter with...

Mr. Swabergers: Making the Burger Hype More Exciting with Fancy Colored Burgers

There is no doubt, we live in a society where instant, create-your-down and do-it-yourself seems on the verge of popularity nowadays - whether pizza, ice cream or cake it may be, burgers are undoubtedly on top of the list. One can easily recall Zarks or the Brgr Project and many more for their flagship of  create-your-own burgers. Then there's this colored burger that entered the picture. Wait, colored burgers? I am dedicating this post to the burger lovers out there. Especially to ehem.. Jossan. Earlier this morning, as I was on my phone checking Facebook, my mom told me about this colored burger she watched on TV. She can't barely remember what was the name of the store but it was along Caloocan. I immediately searched it online until I discovered "Mr. Swabergers". It was featured on TV5 Morning Show this week. Watch the feature here. And so I did not make second-guesses, I invited my mom that we should give it a try. Mr. Swabergers is located along Sangan...
