April Fools No More

I consider April as one of the most boring month among all mainly because it was a vacation month and that I am usually in a “stay-cation” most of the time. (Note: No penny. Broken heart. Growling tummy.) I typically find it as a nightmare because there is nothing interesting and exciting to do. But because I am graduating, dull April didn't seem to happen this year. :) Though I have dated with my bed and stuff frequently, I still find this month enjoyable because of these wherefores:

  • I had a pleasant Holy Week.
Some of the pictures during the Good Friday procession and Salubong

  • I made myself busy with business.
  • Craved for Carbonara so many times but found remedy in satisfying myself with this easy-to-cook scrumptious pack.

  • I finished watching “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” series (in 2 days) And I found a new obsession in Emma Rigby!!!

Finally,
I achieved what I have been dreaming of.

Hoax no more!

Even though I wasn't able to reach my goal for Magna (which at the very last minute is what I’m rooting for) I AM STILL IN ALL SMILES WHEN THIS “CUM LAUDE” DREAM OF MINE WAS VERIFIED.

That was so much fine with me now.

This is for my mother who is going back 3 days from now. This is for the love of my life who sacrificed the feeling of being away from her family just for the sake of having a brighter future for her son and daughter. This is for you, Mama. Still, in the line of “Laude” di ba po?. I hope I made you proud. This is the fruit of your labor. This is the fruit of my hard work. :)

I have been slightly busy these past few days because of cleaning. I am really that excited. I WILL SEE MY MAMA AFTER 10 LONG YEARS.

I want to end this month with a bang. I also wanted to start May with productivity too. I am planning to go to a Job Fair that day :) Wish me luck? ;)

Of Kariman and Uncle John's Fried Chicken

Mini Stop has been known for their signature kariman – with various of special fillings on it inside. I admit I haven’t tried one but I finally did a while ago. :) I believe Kariman is sort of a Japanese food since the convenience store originated in Japan. Relatively, it was a cross between a meat bun and a fried sandwich, according to Sybdive  It contains fillings (whether sweet or savory) stuffed into a piece of yeast dough, sealed, dipped in egg wash, rolled in   panko , and deep-fried till the outside is golden brown and crunchy to the bite. Going back, upon buying Uncle John’s fried chicken meal for my lunch, (which for me is worth-the-buy because of the generous size of the chicken and comparing to other stores offering  the same type of meal, I believe it can be included on your choice) I decided to have Cookie Karamel Kariman since it was only ten pesos. Surprisingly, it was delicious. It tastes like cookie butter with...

Mr. Swabergers: Making the Burger Hype More Exciting with Fancy Colored Burgers

There is no doubt, we live in a society where instant, create-your-down and do-it-yourself seems on the verge of popularity nowadays - whether pizza, ice cream or cake it may be, burgers are undoubtedly on top of the list. One can easily recall Zarks or the Brgr Project and many more for their flagship of  create-your-own burgers. Then there's this colored burger that entered the picture. Wait, colored burgers? I am dedicating this post to the burger lovers out there. Especially to ehem.. Jossan. Earlier this morning, as I was on my phone checking Facebook, my mom told me about this colored burger she watched on TV. She can't barely remember what was the name of the store but it was along Caloocan. I immediately searched it online until I discovered "Mr. Swabergers". It was featured on TV5 Morning Show this week. Watch the feature here. And so I did not make second-guesses, I invited my mom that we should give it a try. Mr. Swabergers is located along Sangan...
