Mini Stop has been known for their signature kariman – with
various of special fillings on it inside. I admit I haven’t tried one but I
finally did a while ago. :)
I believe Kariman is sort of a Japanese food since the
convenience store originated in Japan. Relatively, it was a cross between a meat bun and a fried sandwich,
according to Sybdive It contains fillings (whether sweet or savory) stuffed
into a piece of yeast dough, sealed, dipped in egg wash, rolled in panko, and
deep-fried till the outside is golden brown and crunchy to the bite.
Going back, upon buying Uncle John’s fried chicken meal for
my lunch, (which for me is worth-the-buy because of the generous size of the
chicken and comparing to other stores offering the same type of meal, I believe it can be
included on your choice) I decided to have Cookie Karamel Kariman since it was
only ten pesos.
Surprisingly, it was delicious. It tastes like cookie butter
with caramel filling inside so it’s creaminess and crunchiness in one. Thumbs
up for the soft yet crusty dough.
Seriously, I will have some more tomorrow, or even in the
next few days. Or even try other kariman flavors.
