Life Lived Backwards: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

“As he grows up, he grows younger?”

It was last night when I am tuned in to TV5 and the commercial of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button appeared. It really caught my attention on the trailer. Honestly, the concept (I think) is one of a kind that’s why I decided to watch the film and luckily, I know I gained thoughts.

There are scenes that touched my heart, especially when the old Benjamin is being discriminated because of his physical appearance. Yet, he still manages to ignore those and stay being positive. The idea of time is what amazed me. There are some instances when mind-thoughts boggle me, “What will he look like next?”

Maybe the negatives on the movie are that it is very lengthy for a standard 2-hour film. Nevertheless, I find it worth the watch yet there are scenes that (for me) need to be killed because it is too detailed. The portrayal of the characters is good. BRAD PITT IS REALLY THAT HOT. ♥.♥

Five stars to everyone who made the movie possible. The Oscar's awards & nominations that they received deserves a blog post as this.

Of Kariman and Uncle John's Fried Chicken

Mini Stop has been known for their signature kariman – with various of special fillings on it inside. I admit I haven’t tried one but I finally did a while ago. :) I believe Kariman is sort of a Japanese food since the convenience store originated in Japan. Relatively, it was a cross between a meat bun and a fried sandwich, according to Sybdive  It contains fillings (whether sweet or savory) stuffed into a piece of yeast dough, sealed, dipped in egg wash, rolled in   panko , and deep-fried till the outside is golden brown and crunchy to the bite. Going back, upon buying Uncle John’s fried chicken meal for my lunch, (which for me is worth-the-buy because of the generous size of the chicken and comparing to other stores offering  the same type of meal, I believe it can be included on your choice) I decided to have Cookie Karamel Kariman since it was only ten pesos. Surprisingly, it was delicious. It tastes like cookie butter with...

Welcome to Sisig Society

Sisig Society is one of those promising restaurants along Eastwood that offers their specialty make-your-own-sisig at an affordable price. Jossan's been a sucker forthis type of food so we tried it out soon as I learned about this. Jossan tried the Crispy Sisig. It comes with a cup of rice and is priced at PhP 149. According to him, it lacks flavor. Flavor in the sense of it's strong taste (just like what other sisig tastes like) On the other hand, I wanted to try something unique so I ordered the Sisig Pasta and it's the bomb! It was around their Snacks corner alongside with Sisig Nachos anf Tacos and I find those really appetizing. Mos of their snacks only cost PhP 99. I also tried this Eyes Scramble for PhP 59. Literall with eyes on it! Don' worry tho, it's just a candy. Hehe. Overall, I' m satisfied with Sisig Society. My ratings: Food - 8.5 Price - 9 Service - 10 Jossan's Ratings: Food - 6.5 Price - 7.5 Service - 8
