What Made My 2013 One of the Best

Yes, I've been inactive writing posts here in my blog. Maybe my last published article was 6 months ago? I have been very busy with school stuff that’s why even writing an experiential post made me even sluggish (because I always still choose to sleep whenever free time comes :P) I believe I’ll make bawi with this post. Well, I consider 2013, so far as one of the bestest years since I existed. It was the year that I bid goodbye to my teenage year. This was the year when I turned 20. This was the year who taught me how to be stronger (and somehow immature at the same time). But before we welcome the next year, I’ll just mention the things/persons/experience that made my year a good one. These were just so random. Finish thesis & defense and got good grade Became closer with my family (especially with my Mom) Able to go to Tagaytay Went to Eastwood for the first time and took a picture with the giant fries Stronger relationship with him (though we fight sometimes...

Chasing Tagaytay

Yes, it was my first time to go to Tagaytay. Ate at McDo Olivarez as promised. ^o^v We went to Picnic Grove first. Maybe it is the perfect spot for families and group of friends to go on relaxation, or even individuals as well. Jossan looks so sick, tho. :( Infinite smile, uh? :)  From there, you can instantly see the view. 50-peso entrance fee is surely worth the price. :) We are with Lovely the pony. Hihi. :p It’s also my first time to ride a horse!  Do I obviously look scared here? :D The best-est part of our trip is when we went to People’s Park. Too bad there are missing letters. :| It’s because you can see the whole Metro from the top! The whole Taal Lake which is very visible, Batangas, and Cavite. Funny how I enjoyed to sight-see even if I am scared of heights. Well, who wouldn't dare amaze with the view + the foggy atmosphere and breeze of fresh air? HEAVENLY! Truly, it’s People’s...

First Time ☺

That awesome feeling when PCOS machine accepted your ballot. All-smiles!

A Hundred and One Reasons

Why is it that stories with "dying" themes amaze me the most? I love it when I shed tears in reading those inspiring (yet they're still fiction) tittle-tattles. After Tuesdays with Morrie, I just finished reading one comparable with the book. It is entitled "101 Reasons" written by Bianca (bien_021). I suggest you read it too 'coz it never failed me. ☺ I guess I have to post this article made by James (Ann's brother) because it re-lived my ‘somewhat-writer-to-be-dream’. Anyway, the passage is a part in the story. The Flight of the Mockingbird Someone once asked me what it feels like to be in heaven. I never had the slightest idea what to tell her. So I waited until my mom and dad tell it to her. When it was my turn to speak all eyes are directed at me, and her look was the one that made me say something, something that would not disappoint her. “In heaven you can fly.” She might not say it out loud, but I think my answer amaz...

Reasons why I didn't like this Cube

Every one of us is familiar with a Rubik’s Cube and I know that we had an attempt (at least once) to solve this mind-boggling brain puzzle. Way back in my high school days is when the Rubik’s cube reached its peak of popularity. I must say that it is truly an i-want-to-caught-your-interest-get-your-hands-on-me-and-try-to-solve-me game. Isn’t it? And I am one of those shungaers-pagdating-sa-ganyan person. NEVER WAS A MOMENT IN MY LIFE THAT I SOLVED AT LEAST A SIDE OF THE CUBE. (Maybe when a miracle happens) According to what they say, it takes a lot of patience & hard-work in solving the cube. There are a lot of trial and errors that will happen. I admit I am not good at directions, and it is one way related to the puzzle. Isn't it a logic game, right? Uhyeahh. I tried solving one a while ago (cause there is one here) and maybe after a couple of minutes I just gave up. I envy those people who are good at it. Maybe I won't solve any foreverrrrr. Oh tha...

First timers in Eastwood

HAPPY SUNDATE! Honestly, this Bigature Fries is the main reason why I want to pursue on visiting Eastwood City. I want to take shots here. Luckily, I DID! ☺ I love this place already. We will definitely go back. ♥

I Believe in the Power of Dreams

Since then, I am a  die hard  supporter in the mysteries of dreams and its associations to the lives of the people. Every time I dream of weird things, random thoughts come to my mind. “What will be its implication to me?” I applied for a job yesterday. It offers a 5 month contract, minimum salary, (I guess) and regular working hours. I am very certain that I will be accepted but I am having second-thoughts on the five-month contract. First, if happens that I will pursue the job, it will end in September. And that is already the peak of hell-week. I don’t want to neglect my remaining subjects. Thesis writing is very important. I am thinking of how to manage data gathering and the job. VERY UNDECIDED! And then I had a dream last night. I am roaming around at a mall ‘til I find myself in a comfort room. Since I am not in the condition to pee or anything else, I decided to find the way to the exit. I thought when I find the door to walk away was the ...

Insensitive

Its weird til' I realized that I am not the only one who becomes too sensitive when talking about weight. Yes, I'm a girl and I hate calling "fat". Hope he finally understand.

Life Lived Backwards: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

“As he grows up, he grows younger?” It was last night when I am tuned in to TV5 and the commercial of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button appeared. It really caught my attention on the trailer. Honestly, the concept (I think) is one of a kind that’s why I decided to watch the film and luckily, I know I gained thoughts. There are scenes that touched my heart, especially when the old Benjamin is being discriminated because of his physical appearance. Yet, he still manages to ignore those and stay being positive. The idea of time is what amazed me. There are some instances when mind-thoughts boggle me, “What will he look like next?” Maybe the negatives on the movie are that it is very lengthy for a standard 2-hour film. Nevertheless, I find it worth the watch yet there are scenes that (for me) need to be killed because it is too detailed. The portrayal of the characters is good. BRAD PITT IS REALLY THAT HOT. ♥.♥ Five stars to ever...

*insert title here

Isn't it ironic that in life the person who brings out the best in you & makes you strong, is actually your weakness? Few minutes to go and we'll welcome March . I am dedicating this post to my one & only, Jossan B. Castillo. ♥ Remember that I and will love you everyday.

Expectancy Violations Theory

How silly. :p Forgive me for having an academical title for this post. Expectancy Violations Theory is a communication theory which explains violating another person's interpersonal expectations can be a superior strategy to conformity. In other words, this is all about expectations that leads to disappointments. ^o^ Anyway, I finished reading David Levithan's Lover's Dictionary last week and I know it deserves a blog post. Honestly, my expectations on the content of the book were not met but somehow, I find awesome passages within. Lemme share my favorites. ☺ Retrieved from: newyorker.com ☺

Love Month

Shot taken from SM North Edsa (02-11-2013) Who would've thought that Valentine's Day is approaching? Oh well. Time flies really fast. Maybe I am excited on Thursday. Or maybe I am excited with what will happen. Jossan, where art thou? :D

Beating deadlines

I missed this blog. Finally, I got the time to write a new post. Ü January has been a very busy, yet productive month. Usually, this is the start of so-called "hell week" especially to the students. This is the midterm period and most of the teachers are giving away requirements, paper works and exams. How I wish I could fast forward to March now. But then, February is approaching and the thought makes me smile. Two months to go! Bombarded with various paper works, reports, & presentations plus the thesis writing, isn't easy . Blessed that somehow, I learned and is still learning how to manage time properly. Luckily, I am surviving. ☺
